I must have so much growing still to do, because when I contemplate the very thing you say I can see our size in relation, etc. Like the tiny blue spec thoughts. I see that we are but a blip.
But mankind’s “Significance” is not clearly evident to me. Isn’t significance like importance or purpose? There are thoughts like a butterflies wings impacting the world in large ways, so are size in relation to the universe does not necessarily determine our position, purpose, or effect on the universe etc.
Mostly, I’m stuck on how our ratio to the universe Determines anything other than our size.
This is truly a fascinating quote and I would love so much to have an understanding of Mankind’s significance; it feels like an enlightening concept to grasp.
Would you be so kind as to explain the logic or conclusion of our significance, based on the analysis of our proportions?
It is in knowing that the universe was created to allow us to look, to wonder and to enjoy. Without mankind this gift of creation would be of no value, hence our significance. Thank you for visiting and commenting.
